I booked a company to move me out of my place on the 31st, and just found out today that they are actually closed on that day. I called around and everyone was either booked or closed. The manager at this company actually called all his movers, and found two of his team that were willing to come help me out tomorrow. I am very grateful.

Too bad you can't give zero stars. These people are scam artists. They steal and damage your items. I had a horrible experience with them, I found out the hard way that these guys are notoriously bad business people. I had planned to pay the balance via credit card, which was arranged in the beginning since I would be out of town. My boyfriend was going to accept delivery. At the last minute they refused to accept a credit card and asked that I mail them cash!! Who mails cash?? My boyfriend gave them a check and filed a complaint. The next time I hired movers, they too recapped horror stories they have heard concerning Melrose Moving. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

Russell, I've been meaning to call you, but have not gotten a chance. Thanks for recommending three movers instead of two to move my place. Those stairs do take a lot of time to go up and down on. So, I appreciate your advice, it really sped up my move.

Melrose, thanks for moving my piano. The moving men took the legs apart really carefully and wrapped them, and moved it over to the person I sold it to. They were careful just like I asked them to be.

I found Melrose Moving and read stuff on their website. I was impressed to see they offer things that other companies normally charge for the use of: like wardrobe boxes and moving blankets. That made me like them right away. Also, the movers actually took apart my bed, shelf and desk so it can fit in my doorway, and then reassembled them in my house I moved to. They didn't even charge extra for that!
Pros: hard-working and no extra charges
Cons: Don't move out of state

I came upon Melrose because my friend recommended this company. I have now used them for their services four times. I can say that they are actually reliable and honest as they advertise. They train reps to be very informative on the phone, so that they explain everything and you are aware of all charges. I have told others about them because I appreciate companies that are actually honest in this city.
Pros: honest and reliable

If you read the other reviews, you'd think Melrose Moving was Gods gift to man. But you'll see the same 5 or 6 people reviewing every account they have listing online with the exact same review. They are just an average moving company. They move stuff, but nothing special. They tried to screw me over with timing and tried to charge me more than they were supposed to. But that's what you expect with an AVERAGE moving company. So I'm going to post this same review on every Melrose listing to make sure you all stay informed. I'm not a competitor company or anything...I just don't like dishonest marketing tactics where the company poses like some customer review. P.S look at they last 5 reviews they have on citysearch! they are from the last two days....Honest?? or what?
Pros: Fake

I needed to move only one TV, and the guy on the phone gave me a discounted flat rate for it. Even though they have to pay movers for three hours, he really helped me out with the price.

I moved from Studio City to Long Beach by hiring Melrose Moving to do this job. I found them by reading these reviews on Citysearch, so I wanted to leave my review, too. So the move went well. I booked then they called me to confirm. The movers came in the allotted time and moved me pretty quickly.

I had to call and reschedule my moving time because the escrow to my townhouse did not close at the last minute. On top of that stress, I did not want to deal with fees of cancellation of my own moving company. So it was nice to hear they do not charge for that.
Pros: no rescheduling fees
