Bone Sweet Bone

Our dog has been going to Bone Sweet Bone for almost a year. Every Tuesday we take her to their cage-free dog day care. She jumps out of the car and either into Santiago's (the owner) arms. I am an obsessive-compulsive dog owner and only want the best for my amazing rescue dog! Santiago answers all of my questions, and he even lets me call to check in on her through out the day. Santiago knows everything there is to about dogs and is so helpful if I ever had an issue with my dog! The place is immaculate and everyone there is so caring! It is so nice to drop my dog off every week knowing that she will be looked after the same way I would look after her.

Pros: clean, friendly, personal, nice people, knowlegable

After spending tons of money on getting my bichon-poodle, Emi, and maltese-poodle, Charlie, groomed at places such as Tailwashers and LA Dog Works, I stumbled upon Bone Sweet Bone. They love BSB and do not come out shaking and scratching at me as they have at other places. Santiago is knowledgeable and takes the time to answer my questions, even when he is busy and has other customers in the shop. The "poos" come out looking wonderful, smelling great, and the price is unbelievable. People have stopped me on the street to comment on how the "poos" look and my neighbor also recently started taking her poodle mix to BSB. I've gone to other places that are in the same price range, but the dogs come back looking awful with half done hair cuts or shaved down to nothing. The groomer at BSB does exactly what he is asked to do. I'm not a huge "reviewer" but I wanted to share my love for Bone Sweet Bone with others!

Before showing up to Bone Sweet Bone I had many issues with the local groomers and doggy day care facilities. I had tookin my chihuahua Cash to other facilities in which he would leave the facilities more scroungie than when I brought him in and on top of that he would seem distressed and unhappy. I happened to need a daycare for Cash cause he's exceptionally hyper and I dont like leavin him alone while im at work cause he tears up everything. So I had seen Bone Sweet Bone while driving down Ventura Blvd and I thought the name was catchy so I decided to stop and check it out. Upon arrival I was greeted by who happened to be the owner. He introduced himself as Santiago and although he was busy he answered all my questions and even went out of his way to give me a full tour of his facility and showed me that he keeps records of all his dogs ensuring that they are vaccinated and have the right temperment for daycare. The facility was very clean and there was an indoor are and an outdoor play are for the dogs. Ive been going there since. Santiago is very knowledgeable on dogs and he has been very helpful in advice and answering any question that has arose. I use Bone Sweet Bone primarily for dogy daycare and have only had Cash groomed once (he's a short hair and most maintenance I can do at home) but have been happy with all the services provided. Hes happy and clean as I left him when I pick him up and when I take him home I know he had a good time cause he just eats then crashes out in his bed.

Pros: Customer Service and integrity of the facility.

Cons: Parking is sometimes a pain but there is parking in the back.

BSB was highly recommended to us over a year ago by a friend who is really particular about her dog...so I trust her opinion. And really glad that I did because we've been taking our dog there ever since. The owner is very compassionate about the dogs at his establishment and our dog LOVES him. We cannot say the owners name out loud in front of the dog because whenever he hears it, he thinks he's heading to BSB. The dog practically drags us from the car to the entrance when we drop him off, and will run through the store front directly to the door that he knows leads to his puppy friends. Highly recommend Bone Sweet Bone. Maybe if they get busy enough, they'll open a second location in Burbank and add webcams?

It is a great place...my dog loved it. She had a great time playing with the other dogs. She did come home with kennel cough though. She has had all her shots (which is required to stay there) but still got sick.

Pros: loved playing with all the other dogs because they arent stuck in cages all day

We are one of those obsessed doggy "parents". Therefore, we researched about 20 different grooming outfits in our area before choosing Bone Sweet Bone. In addition, we are also picky and demanding customers. Despite the above, the guys at Bone Sweet Bone did not get a single complaint from us. Our baby looked gorgeous, behaved great after the grooming, and did not seem to be scared or put out in any way after the grooming. And we left here there for the very first time for several hours! In contrast to other grooming places we researched, BSB does not have or try to enforce any of those "standard" haircuts. They speak with you, and make recommendation. This is a welcome option for the puppy parents as we are often not sure how to groom our new baby. We sent several friends there equally particular about their dog's care, and they were also happy. The place is clean, tidy, and welcoming, and they enforce shot verification requirements strictly. We highly recommend Bone Sweet Bone to all who care about their dogs.

On June 29th, around 10 a.m. i called BoneSweetBone and asked them about grooming my dog. They told me to make an appointment or just bring the dog in. So i just drove there. When i came there i talked to a young man who seemed absolutely disinterested in washing my dog. He kept asking me all sorts of questions and eventually told me that i should have brought the shot records in order to wash the dog. Without the records he said they will not wash my dog. This is the only dog grooming place i've been in that asks for vaccinations in order to just wash a dog. If they really require the records to wash the dog, they should put it on their website or at least tell you over the phone.

I am new to the area- and my two small dogs have been getting used to the big city. Bone Sweet Bone has been a god-send! I drop my dogs off in the morning, and when I pick them up in the afternoon they are tired and happy. I have a stress free evening with two happy pupps. The facilities are clean, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I have even boarded my dogs over the weekend and been happy with that. The dogs are taken care of in a "cage free" environment, which is wonderful. I recommend this place to everyone I meet. Defiantly the best place in town!

Pros: Clean, Friendly enviroment

Cons: Limited hours on weekends and evenings.

I'm so glad I found this place. I had never owned a dog before and looked online for a day care and groomer--thanks Citysearch! Santiago strikes a beautiful balance of business and heart. He really takes good care of my puppy and I NEVER worry about Astro after I drop him off there. Edson does a wonderful job on the grooming, too. My puppy is still getting compliments about his haircut, and it's been a month since Edson cut him!

Pros: Easy to go to.

Cons: Would be nice if it were open a little later for the day care.

My husband and I couldn't be happier about finding Bone Sweet Bone. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, it's clean and they offer a variety of services as well as products, and, best of all, our dog is always so excited to go! We usually drop her off when we're both busy with work but have left her overnight and had her washed, as well. Both of us highly recommend Bone Sweet Bone to anyone looking for a daycare, boarder, and/or groomer!

Pros: Dogs able to play with each other and get lots of exercise!
