We are repeat customers to Nysa Hill. Our dog is 14 years old and has the best time with Angie and all his friends. We never worry when we are away as we know he is in the best of hands. He's treated like a VIP every time he goes - we have never met a more accomodating staff than those at Nysa Hill. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate -and challenging. I don't think any dog would be bored or depressed staying here. The emailed picture updates of our dog while we are away give us great peace of mind. We just can't say enough about Angie and her staff - we are very loyal Nysa Hill clients.
Pros: Personal Service, Cage free, Pampering of all types
Cons: none

Nysa Hill is everything that you see on the website and so much more. Angie and her team truly love animals and it shows. When I first went to Nysa Hill, I thought the dogs that were sitting on the couch in the living room were her own dogs. They sure acted like it was their home, but in fact, they were there for the weekend while their owners were out of town. That said it all for me! My Woofie gets so excited when I tell him that we are going to see Angie. He gets to play with other dogs and go swimming, how much better can life be.
Pros: Personal attention given, doggy swimming pool, areas to run and play
Cons: None

We were so fortunate to find Nysa Hill. It is the perfect place for our dog to stay while we are away. We know he will be well treated there and have no worries about leaving him. He loves to stay in the Cabana Suite and have his own outdoor space to hang out. Angie is so wonderful about making him feel right at home and giving him the extra TLC he loves. Even though it is a bit of a drive from our home in Santa Monica, it is well worth the time spent in the car to know that he will be so well cared for.
Pros: the personal attention and wide open spaces
Cons: the drive

We were referred to Nysa Hill on Friday, visited on Saturday and started our 3 rambunctious Schipperkes in day care on Monday. We immediately felt at ease leaving our fur kids in Angie's capable hands. Angie recognizes the personality of each individual dog and gives each the attention they need. We have noticed a marked difference in the behavior of our fur kids. The are more socialized with people and dogs. Our dogs are "good tired" at the end of each day and ready to go back to camp the next morning. Nysa Hill has been a life saver during our remodeling project and our fur kids will continue to frequent Nysa Hill on a regular basis.
Pros: Personalized care, great environment, room to run
Cons: None

This place is a doggy wonderland, I have been taking my dog to nysa hill for swim therapy, the pool is heated all year at around 88 degrees, after having surgery it has made an amazing difference in her quality of life and rehabilitation, her fitness level has increased so much and she has lost weight that we are now swimming there twice a week this is such a fun way to keep your dogs fit and healthy thanks to nysa we are now back hiking again. I highly recommend swimming at this amazing place.

We just boarded our 3 whippets, Dylan Rock and Riddle, this is the first time leaving them, and from the minute we got there we felt very comfortable with Angie, the owner, she is clearly a dog lover and there is no one else more capable I would consider leaving my babies with. I do need to say I have 6 dogs, and we chose to board the iggies at the Petsmart hotel in the suites, thinking we were giving them superior care as well, boy were we wrong! Every time I check on them, I got a different answer from your guys aren't eating, they are scared to death, to oh they are doing fine. Well as a dog parent and being thousands of miles away you want to feel assured your babies are doing fine, and I was heart sick over my iggies AND it costs money to have them pick up your dog and hold them can you believe! but mean time at Nysa hills, Angie emailed me everyday with pictures, and gave me a run down on what they were doing, AND she even slept with them and the best part love is free!!!! They were eating great, and playing with the other dog, I truly think it's a disneyland for dogs the way it's layed out. Next time everyone stays there! There will be no cutting corners, or worrying about an extra 1/2 hr to get there. Peace of mind is priceless!
Pros: Peace of mind, no add on charges, lots of pictures
Cons: You got to be kidding, NONE

For Thankgiving we had to leave our puppy in LA for a full week, and we wanted to leave him somewhere where there is lots of open space to run around. We saw the video on Citysearch and gave it a try. The place is wonderful and we could not feel better about leaving our dog behind. From the first day we went away, we started getting daily updates... it was either e-mails letting us know what he is up to, and also lots of photos we could see on our blackberry. We could tell they were all genuine because we know what he likes to do and how he likes to play, and so we felt really relaxed about it. The place pretty much looks like in the Video - its a large property with lots of room to run around, and the dogs get to go in and out of the house, too, particularly i think those who stay over night. The owners obviously love dogs and are very caring - their own dogs are there as well and they carefully integrate new comers into the pack. For us it is about an hour drive from West Hollywood, but worth the trip for special occassions. Obvioulsy, if you live closer this could be a regular place to send your dog. Highly recommended!

Nysa Hill is truly a paradise for dogs. I have an older dog who loves to relax in the shade of the trees and vine covered walk ways. She also enjoys water therapy in the pool. Nysa Hill provides a loving, nurturing, and safe enviornment. I feel very comfortable having my dog stay, whether it's for a day or longer, in such a beautiful and peaceful place where she is loved.
Pros: My dog loves it - lots of room to roam
Cons: the drive

Nysa Hill is a wonderful retreat for dogs of all breeds and ages. The landscape is a beautiful oasis with a feeling and smell of being in the mountains. The staff treats your dogs as if they were their own. It's the best place I've taken my dogs too. It's cage free so they have plenty of space to run and jump around. They can swim with supervision, have a massage by a specialist or even take a snooze. They always get excited when we approach their gated property. It's a comfort to know that my dogs are in a safe environment and in good hands. The Nysa Hill owner and staff have dedicated their lives to the well being and love for dogs. I would recommend this place to all dog owners.
Pros: Happy and healthy dogs
Cons: Some distance away but so worth the drive
