I was having emotional problems and I really did not want to take the doctor prescribed Zoloft. I have never been comfortable with taking that and I needed another option. I did some research and I became fascinated with acupuncture as well as Chinese herbs. I looked online for an acupuncturist and after seeing Beth I realized I had found the best! First of all, as soon as I walked into Tao of Venus a sense of calm came over me. Beth talked with me about everything. She asked about all the symptoms I felt and she explained different pressure points and she just made me feel so comfortable. She is so open and understanding. After my first treatment I have never felt better. That night I had the best sleep I have ever had. Beth gave me some herbs and almost immediately I felt myself getting control of my emotions-even my boyfriend noticed a difference in me! I also suffer from extreme muscle tension headaches. Beth uses massage and the "cupping" method and she removes my tension and pain almost immediately. I look forward to every appointment with Beth. She never rushes and always gives me ample amount of time to really benefit from each treatment. Beth is a true healer, she is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares.

Beth, the owner and chief practitioner of Tao of Venus, is the best. I first started seeing Beth for general body issues - aches and pains, weight, pms issues etc. Within months she balanced my body and hormones to the point that I was off the pill and having normal cycles with no pain or mood swings. After six months I was pregnant and absolutely thrilled. In addition to the emotional and hormonal help, Beth gave me beautiful skin, treated my heel pain and absolved the ongoing pain in my lower back. Even now, after the birth my son, I see her for any kind of flair up - whether it be back pain from hauling a 16 pound baby around to heel pain from working out too much. An hour later I feel like a new person. She's the best. I really can't say enough about Beth. She simply will make you feel better - from head to toe.

I have never written a review on citysearch before, but I often read them to get help in choosing which places to go. I was surprised that no one has reviewed this place before because it was AMAZING! I have been to two acupuncturists before coming to Tao of Venus and I will never go anywhere else after my visit with Beth. Initially I was a little skeptical because of the outside of the building (not the place you would expect to find this little oasis), but once you enter you don't think twice about it. The environment is very soothing - similar to that of a mini spa, and throughout the entire treatment I was in heaven! Beth is so sweet and really takes her time listening to you and providing you with the best possible acupuncture treatment. I am seeing her for hormonal imbalances and even though I have only seen her once my mood and mental well-being is so much better. I can't wait to go back and have already scheduled more appointments with her. I can't recommend her enough!
