I just love going to LA Sports Massage. It's in a nice location, overlooking the Marina, and the space is pleasant. But the best part is the great group of skilled, caring therapists. I've worked with 4 different massage therapists there and each one has been fantastic. One is no longer with them, but I can highly recommend Raul, Michelle and Dan. They know their stuff, listen to my complaints, and attack them. I've worked with dozens of massage therapists, and I know a good massage when I get one. I always feel better and train better in the days following a massage from LA Sports Massage.
Pros: Skilled therapists, reasonable price

I highly recommend LA Sport Massage. After multiple surgeries on a bad joint in my toe, I developed scar tissue that seriously limited the joint’s mobility. For six months, the scar tissue caused me lots of pain, particularly when I ran or played beach volleyball. I thought my situation was hopeless, until I discovered LA Sports Massage. The staff performed ART (active release techniques) on my bad toe. I felt tremendous improvement in the joint after my FIRST session! The hands-on therapy provided by the staff is exceptional. It’s exactly what I needed to break up the scar tissue and regain mobility in the joint. If you have a soft tissue problem, go see the staff at LA Sports Massage. They fixed my scar tissue problem in just a few sessions. I’m so grateful to them. Now, I’m tearing up the beach volleyball court at full speed again!
Pros: Terrific ART massage, great staff, free parking, convenient location

I first encountered LA Sports Massage at a hockey tournament. The few minutes I spent with Shea convinced me that I had found a service that could address the various muscle issues I've acquired playing ice hockey. I've subsequently had sessions with Michell and Raul and can state that they find the the source of the problem I'm experiencing, work on it, and make it possible for me to return to the ice. One person here mentioned the need to invest in one's body, and I would have to agree. It is not inexpensive, but anything as helpful as this is worth it. I have been to different stripmall-massage businesses, and they don't cut it when it comes to providing the informed, professional service an athelete needs, so I recommend LA Sports Massage to everyone.
Pros: Free and abundant parking
Cons: West-side traffic

I've been running with LA Leggers for years. I've had a persistent problem with my IT Band. I've usually ended up in physical therapy. Then I discovered sports massage. I didn't know what it was and had never done it before. I was set up with Raul and he is the best. He dug until it hurt but he freed up my IT Band and I was back running without missing a beat. Raul is very personable and very discrete. But most of all he's very good. I highly recommend Raul at LA Sports Massage.
Pros: Free parking behind the building
Cons: Marina Del Rey traffic

Dennis was recommended to me by my coach for Team In Training. I was struggling with different aches and pains related to my training for an Ironman. Well, I finished that race feeling quite good because of the wonderful care I received from Dennis prior to race day. He knows his stuff! He knew exactly how to approach several problems that I was having with both of my legs. I highly recommend anyone to make an appointment if they are in need of some serious care!
Pros: Fantastic, knowledgeable masseuse.
Cons: none

I compete in ultramarathons and tris, and beat my body up a lot. I've been seeing Dennis regularly for about a year now, and he has done a great job at getting me past some long-standing injuries as well as keeping me tuned up. I send everybody to him. Sitting around talking with him after one session, in walked the Ironman World Champion Chris McCormack for the next appointment. That gives you some confidence in your body worker! Every time I go, I reflect back on all those years I didn't get regular body work and wonder, what was I thinking?
Pros: Easy to get to, great parking, great people, great work. Available when I need him/them.
Cons: none

I have been using LA Sports Massage for the past two years to heal injuries, recover faster and feel better while training for ironman triathlon racing. As an endurance athlete my body takes a serious beating. The only way to keep up with my level of training and the physical stress on my body is to get consistent deep tissue massage. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to Dennis Lisaius at LA Sports Massage because of a different part of my body being sore, tight or in pain. But, without fail, each and every time he has been able, through the magic touch of his massage and other techniques inlcuding ART, to revive and speed the recovery of my body. Because of him and LA Sports massage I have never had to pull out of a race or stop training once over the past two years despite many injuries. He has also always been on-time, very professional and responsive. I highly recommend everyone who is an athlete or anyone who enjoys the benefits of deep tissue massage go to LA Sports Massage.
Pros: Quality massage, Location, Parking
Cons: Massage is not cheap

I've been seeing Dennis @ LA Sports massage for two years now. I found him via LA Tri Club, when I got my first bad injury (IT band). Dennis helped me with that injury (my muscles were very tight & knotty after years without much stretching and no massage at all). I was so impressed that I kept seen him on a weekly basis just for maintenace. A year later, when I was two month away for my first Ironman event, I had a bike crash that got me on the brink of giving up (this time it was my left leg that got in serious trouble). Dennis' amazing skills brought me back to training within a week, so I managed to successfully complete both my training and my IM event. Throughout the years, I've learned that whenever I'm in trouble with an injury, Dennis and his staff are gonna be there for me on the shortest of notices, always ready to help.
Pros: perfect massage, great people!
Cons: none

Dennis & Don are great. For the last 2 years that have kept me going on a weekly basis allowing me to ride 150+ miles and row a single scull twice a week at age 61. Recently they rehabed me through 7 broken ribs, a severe sacral bruise and torn paraspinal muscles when a careless motorist threw open a car door so fast that I did not even see it no less avoid it. I was originally refered to them by some of LA's elite bicycle racers who regularly use their services.
