Editorial Review for Footland – by Nicolas Rabinovitch
In Short
Located inside Little Tokyo's main mall, this modest-looking shoe boutique carries surprisingly great deals on super-chic finds. Whether you're a skateboarding dude, a basketball-playing woman or a fashion-minded kid, you can choose from an array of sneaker styles from the likes of Vans, Nike, Adidas, Converse and more. It's also one of the only stores in L.A. that gets Nike samples imported from Japan, so they carry shoes that nobody else does. Tables throughout the small store display weekly deals including primo pairs ranging from $39-$59.
Hits: The store carries hard to find slip-on Vans as well as new Nikes sold out at hipper spots.
Misses: The lack of sizes and brand variety make the perfect fit harder to find.

Insider Tips
Save MoneyWhen the store overstocks, the staff moves shoes into outside bins just to the right of the entrance. Sorting through the massive pile may seem daunting but with each pair discounted between 40-70 percent, it's well worth the work.

The salesperson might not be the nicest one you ever had, and their English might be hard to understand sometimes. (They are in Little Tokyo, for Pete's sake.) But they have the best collection of cool sneakers. Most of all, they are the ONLY store in West Coast that sells future samples from Nike. If you wear size 9 in Men's or 7 in Women's, you can rock the coolest kicks 6 months before anybody else.
Pros: Cool shoes
